AS part of the activities for the year 2023 Career Day, Sasa Community Senior High School, located in the Egbeda-Akowonjo LCDA of Alimosho LGA, on Thursday, May 4, 2023, organised the Master and Miss SACOMS 2023 beauty and brains pageant.
Contestants for the Master and Miss SACOMS 2023 beauty and brains pageant were tested on dressing, boldness, and ability to interpret and answer questions, among other criteria.
Contestants for the year 2023 Miss SACOMS include Nweke Blessing, Adegbite Ziyadat, Lawal Sofiat, Nwaefulu Onyinye, Fajeyisan Maria, Afam Precious, and Adeoye Zainab, while participants for the year 2023 Master SACOMS include Adekunle Oluwaseun, Olanrewaju Joseph, Akinyemi Emmanuel, and Faith Gideon.
The winners of the Miss SACOMS 2023 beauty and brains pageant include Adeoye Zainab (1st Position), Nwaefulu Onyinye (2nd Position), and Fajeyisan Maria (3rd Position), while the winners of Master SACOMS 2023 beauty and brains pageant include Adekunle Oluwaseun (1st Position), Faith Gideon (2nd Position), and Olanrewaju Joseph (3rd Position).
While speaking at the 2023 Career Day themed ‘The Future is Now’, the Head Girl of the school, Adekoya Ifeoluwa Mary, a Commercial student and the Miss SACOMS 2022, stated that the career day helps to encourage the students on what their future holds for them, help them imitate good behaviours, and help them develop skills that will make them self-reliant in future.
On his part, the Head Boy of the school, Abiola Amid, a Science student and web developer/designer, affirmed that the career day helps students gain clarity concerning what choice of career they are going to go for.
He added that the career day would enable the student to look inwards and retrace their steps to finding what they are good at and what they meant to do.
