Jelili hosts Alimosho joint Chieftaincy committee

THE Executive Chairman of the Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon has played host to the rotational Alimosho Joint Chieftaincy Committee meeting, which is a congregation of all Oba-in-council in the LGA, all other important chiefs and the LGA/LCDA chieftaincy Secretaries.

The meeting, which is a monthly routine, used to be held only at the Igando-Ikotun LCDA hall until a few months back when it began to be rotated among the member LGA/LCDAs. It was the turn of Alimosho LGA on Wednesday 18th December 2024.296i

The meeting was used to request the support of the council Boss towards the construction of the Alimosho Oba-in-council Joint Chieftaincy Committee hall in Ikotun. On this, the council Boss promised to give a positive response before the end of the 1st quarter in 2025.

The council Chairman was consequently appreciated for effecting an increase in the monthly pay of the Obas and Baales in the Alimosho LGA. 296h

In attendance were HRM Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi - Onigando of Igando; HRM Oba Azeez Gbadabiu Asiwaju - Onikotun of Ikotun; HRM Oba Hammed Orelope Kareem-Laka; HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunronbi - Onishasha of Shasha; HRM Oba Kolawole Ajani Ogundipe - Olu of Ipaja; HRM Oba Ashimiyu Dada Ota Olorunfemi - Elegbe of Egbe; HRM Oba Samuel Awoyemi Oroja - Onimeiran of Meiran; HRM Oba Najeemdeen Abidemi Aberejo - Alakesan of Akesan; and HRM Oba Raufu Akeeb Adebowale - Alaye of Orisumbare.

Others include Chief Kazeem Adekolawole-Baale of Ijon; Chief Khalid Baruwa-Baale of Baruwa; and Chief Azeem Alani Anjorin-Baale of Anjorin.

Also in attendance were the Chieftaincy Secretaries, including Mr Sadiq Segun Adebowale, Mr Akingbade Victor, Miss Mudashiru Waliat Ajibola, Mr Alimi Babatunde, Mr Agoro Sheu Olawale, and Mr Awojolugbe Samuel.
