FOLLOWING a 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Manchester United boss, Erik Ten Hag has begged fans and supporters to give him more time to turn things around.

The 3-0 loss saw Brennan Johnson tap in from Micky van de Ven’s cross in the first half as Ten Hag then lost his captain, Bruno Fernandes to a straight red card before half-time.

The second half didn't change much as Tottenham Hotspur added more goals through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke to ensure the Red Devils suffered for the one-man short advantage.

Speaking after the game, Ten Hag noted that the club are still behind him as he requires more time to take United to the top.

“We all made it together, this decision to stay together as ownership and leadership group in the summer,” said Ten Hag when asked if he feared the club’s new football leadership group would turn to a new manager.

“We made the decision from a clear review on what we have to improve and how we want to construct the squad.

“I think we will get better and we need some time. We are all on one page, in the same boat together; ownership, leadership group, staff and players,” he added.

Manchester United now sit 12th in the Premier League table, picking just seven points in six games as they prepare for a tough encounter away to Aston Villa.
