MARCUS Rashford made his Aston Villa debuts off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-1 FA Cup win at the weekend.
Rashford joined Aston Villa from Manchester United in a loan deal that will see him remain at Villa for the rest of the season with a possibility of making it permanent in the summer.
Moments after Morgan Rogers gave Aston Villa the lead, Rashford and Asensio, who also joined Villa on loan from PSG, entered the game as Emery’s side sealed a 2-1 win in their FA Cup fourth-round tie.
“They were consistent and focused. As well, Marcus Rashford and Asensio, we watched their skill and how they helped us and will help us again in the next months in the different competitions we will face,” Emery said after the game.
“We are in a new way after the changes we did. We are demanding because we still need to improve due to some tactical issues and how we want to compete in the Premier League,” he added.
Aston Villa, who sits 8th in the Premier League, would be hoping to count on the service of Rashford when they play Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
