CAF Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman, won't be available to cause damage to Barcelona when they meet in the last game of the Group stage on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and Atalanta forward picked up a knee injury and will not fly to Spain with the rest of the team but will stay behind to undergo tests in Bergamo.
This is a huge blow to Atalanta, who would be without their 27 years old star man who has contributed 14 goals and seven assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season.
Atalanta are currently 7th in UEFA Champions League standings and a win over Barca will assure them direct entry into the last-16 without having to navigate a two-legged playoff affair.
Hopefully, the player's injury, which he picked up during training on Monday is not serious as he is expected to be out for a few weeks and his absence over a long period could derail their excellent season so far.
