IVORY Coast international, Sebastien Haller has returned to Borussia Dortmund and began training on Monday, January 2, 2023, after he underwent a testicular tumour operation.

The 28-year-old forward, who joined Dortmund from Ajax, is yet to play a game for the German giant, as he was diagnosed with the ailment in July and had to undergo a second operation in November.

Announcing his return, he said via Twitter, “Hello guys, I'm finally back. It was not that easy but with your support, it was better and easier to do. I'm just looking forward to seeing you in the stadium for some victories."

The return of the player is a huge bonus for the Dortmund team, as they will need all hands on deck should they intend to accomplish a Champions League spot next season as they currently sit 6th in the league, 2 points away from the top 4 and 9 points adrift top place, Bayern Munich.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer affecting males between the ages of 15 and 35, with about ten thousand cases per year in Nigeria.
