TURKISH club, Galatasaray are set to announce Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen as their new player after agreeing to a loan deal with Napoli.
The 25-year-old striker, who had a failed move to Chelsea during the last days of the transfer window has clinched a late move to the Turkish giants on a season-long loan.
Napoli, who excluded Osimhen's name from the Serie A squad list has given the go-ahead for the reigning Africa Player of the Year to join Galatasaray on a straight loan with no option to buy.
Transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, yesterday revealed that Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, approved the conditions with the Turkish club covering Osimhen’s entire salary for the duration of his stay.
Galatasaray immediately booked a flight for Osimhen after the former Lille striker agreed to the deal as he arrived in Turkey at around 4 am to meet fans waiting for him at the airport.
He is expected to complete the signing and return to Nigeria for the AFCON qualifiers fixtures against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
