LETHAL striker, Victor Osimhen has landed in Nigeria for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers fixtures against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The 25-year-old recently completed a move to the Turkish league earlier this week on a loan deal to Galatasaray, where he is expected to spend the next year of his football career.
Osimhen was supposed to have arrived at camp earlier but the late loan move delayed his return to Nigeria, which he noted the NFF and Interim Manager Eguavoen.
Following the completion of the loan deal, the 2023 African Player of the Year boarded a jet to Nigeria to link up with the rest of the squad ahead of the qualifying fixture.
Reports suggest that the player arrived in Nigeria early Thursday morning and would be on his way to Uyo as soon as possible where he is expected to join the rest of the national team.
It remains unknown if the player will be fit in time to partake in the fixture against Benin Republic on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
