A clause in Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Saudi Arabia giant, Al-Nassr has revealed that the 37-year-old can still play in the UEFA Champions League, provided a certain Premier League team qualifies.

The Portugal international joined the Saudi Arabia side last week after he had his contract terminated by Manchester United due to an interview he had with Piers Morgan, in which he backlashed the United management.

The 5-times Ballon d'Or winner signed a contract with Al-Nassr that will see him earn €200Million a year which averages €23,000 per hour. Also included in his contract is an opportunity to play in the Champions League with Newcastle United.

According to a report, a clause in his contract indicates that if Newcastle United qualifies for the Champions League this season, he can go on loan there, as they are owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

This simply means the 'Mr Champion League' could return to the biggest stage should Newcastle qualify. As it stands, Newcastle is on the verge of qualifying for the Champions League, as they sit third in the Premier League table, and could leap for the league when they face Arsenal later tonight.
