WITH the winter transfer market shutting down on Monday night, two Chelsea players have joined Premier League rivals for the rest of the season.
Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi have left the club to join Premier League rivals, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, respectively.
“Disasi will now spend the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign at Villa Park and we look forward to supporting him during his loan spell. Good luck, Axel,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
Meanwhile, Chilwell, expressing his happiness after joining Palace, said: “Crystal Palace is a club that’s going in a great direction, you look at the last few months, with the results and how the team’s playing, it was a no-brainer to make the decision to come here.”
Both players would be aiming to get playing time after they failed to get regular playing game time at Chelsea under manager, Enzo Maresca so far this season.
