In a Football Daily Show, Saka was asked about his connection to Nigeria. He spoke about his heritage, stating, “It means a lot to me. Obviously growing up with Nigerian parents but I grew up in this country, so both sides mean a lot to me.”

When asked about the meaning of his Yoruba name, Saka proudly translated it, saying, “It means added joy.”

He added, “I like my name. If I remember correctly, I think my grandma gave it to me. I have to double-check with my parents, but I think I’m right.”
