EIGHT teams have qualified out of the three group stages and have made it to the quarter-finals of the 2023 U17 AFCON competition, which is taking place in Algeria.
The teams, who have qualified are Senegal, Nigeria, South Africa, Morocco, Mali, Congo, Burkina Faso, and the host country, Algeria.
Senegal, Morocco, and Mali qualified at the top of their respective tables, while Algeria, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso qualified as runner-ups in their respective tables with South Africa and Congo qualifying as best third place, often referred to as best losers.
The quarter-final fixtures are as follows:
Senegal U-17 vs South Africa U-17
Morocco U-17 vs Algeria U-17
Mali U-17 vs Congo U-17
Nigeria U-17 vs Burkina Faso U-17
The match will take place on Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11, 2023, as the winners will advance to the semi-finals and also qualify for the U17 World Cup tournament.
