FAMILY members of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua, have agreed on a date and venue for the cleric's burial.
According to reports, the family disclosed that the extended family of Prophet TB Joshua has decided that the late cleric be buried on July 9, on the premises of his church in Ikotun, Lagos State.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that sympathisers in the hundreds have been thronging to the hometown of Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua in Arigidi-Akoko community of Akoko North-West, Ondo state, hoping that the clergy would be buried in the village.
Speaking of Joshua's death, Zaki of Arigidi-Akoko, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, urged that the remains of the late televangelist must be brought back home for burial.
According to the traditional ruler, Joshua is treasured in his hometown and he must not be buried in Lagos State which is the centre of his ministries. "They must bury TB Joshua here in the village. We will not accept that he is buried in Lagos state." He said.
However, the church released a statement yesterday, Monday. It reads partly, “We know you are aware that our father in the Lord, Prophet TB Joshua, has been taken home to be with the Lord. We want to assure you that nothing will stop the work of God at SCOAN from moving on. Prophet TB Joshua may be absent in the body, but he is present in the spirit.
