Akinsanya leads drive for Covid-19 Delta variance compliance in Igando-Ikotun

COMRADE Akinsanya Lasis Ayinde, Chairman Igando- Ikotun LCDA, has advised market leaders on sanitation and the distribution of face masks in the marketplace.

The advice was given during the Council boss' tour of the markets in IKOTUN yesterday and where he educated traders on the Covid-19 Delta variance and the need to comply to all necessary precautions so to avoid its spread.

Akinsanya said during the tour, "We are mandating full compliance with all protective protocols the compulsory use of masks in all public places, market, social distancing, temperature checks, provisions for hand-washing and sanitizers, and regular environmental sanitation in the market. 

"We will not leave any stone unturned in our bid to effectively mitigate the third wave of this pandemic in Igando-Ikotun".

During the inspection the Chairman distributed free face masks to market men and women. He also said inspection of markets across the community would be resuscitated to allow for 'the neatest market in the community' competition.

He advised market men and women to keep the market areas hygienic always to prevent outbreak of any epidemic.

He then appealed to the market leaders to value their lives and embrace cleanness.
