THE Alimosho League, organised by Alimosho Football Coaches Council and started late last year, has ended recently as two top teams in each group booked a place in the Super Four League that will kick off from February 26 to 28.
The four teams that qualified for the Super 4 League are Kedge Sports FC, Peculiar FC, Samjason FC, and Salamson FC. All the four teams would slug it out in the league to determine the 2020/2021 Alimosho League champions.
In a statement issued by the Chairman Organising Committee, Samuel Eke, he commended all the participating teams that took part in the just-concluded league, saying that all the clubs gave a good account of themselves and exhibited a high level of professionalism throughout the league.
He congratulated teams that qualified for the Super Four League, urging them to see the league as a friendship and not a do-or-die affair.
“On behalf of the executive members of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, I congratulate the teams that qualified for the Super Four League. Truly, the four teams showed determination, commitment, and dedication from the beginning of the league.
“It was a huge success because we started well and ended it well. No major injury, violence or any form of social vices during the league. We thank God for the success of the league and I wish all the four teams the best of luck as they are preparing for the super four league to determine the real champions of the Alimosho League,” the statement read
Two teams have been relegated and they would not be part of the league next season. They are Future Stars Soccer Academy and Tailgate FC.
The venue for the Super 4 League would be announced later this week.
