MAN U Midfielder, Jesse Lingard, will be missing the start of the season next week Saturday having been confirmed to test positive to coronavirus.
The 28 years old 28 featured in all three of Manchester United's pre-season friendly fixtures but had to be excused in today's fixture against Everton.
A statement on Manchester United official website before now had read:
"Unfortunately, Jesse Lingard is unavailable after testing positive for Covid-19. He is isolating in line with Government and Premier League Guidelines."
Lingard is not the first player to test positive for the team this period as United keeper, Dean Henderson, is still recovering from the virus after testing positive 3 weeks ago.
