THE summer transfer window has officially opened today July 1, 2024, and will run till August 30 by which clubs should have completed and closed their deals.
Eyes will be on the big European leagues and clubs will be looking to bolster their squad depth for the season before the deadline, which was determined after discussions with the leagues in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France.
Already, some deals have been officially announced, some clubs have started registering interest in players while some clubs have started terminating contracts and letting go of players who are considered not needed by the club.
Currently, Chelsea is offering Nicolas Jackson to Newcastle in a deal to sign £115m Alexander Isak, Liverpool has opened talks with Bayern Munich over Joshua Kimmich while Arsenal have inquired about Bologna defender, Riccardo Calafiori.
Omari Hutchinson officially joins Ipswich Town, Southampton is closing in on Charlie Taylor, Elliot Anderson joins Nottingham Forest from Newcastle while Barcelona announced Felix and Cancelo's departure in a now-deleted post.
The 2024/2025 Premier League campaign kicks off Friday, August 16 and ends Sunday, May 25, 2025. The Carabao Cup final will be played on Sunday, March 16 and the FA Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 17.
