In an interview with the Insider Scoop podcast (via @MadridXtra on X), the Germany International was quizzed about the defender he’d sign at Real Madrid.

“I’m very happy with my CB partner, Militao. He came back from a big injury, he’s getting back to his best.

“But there’s so many games, so we would rotate, so to have Saliba… it would be great,” he said.

Apart from Saliba, the German man also sang praises for Arsenal and Brazilian centre back, Gabriel Magalhaes. Both defenders have shown their qualities for Arsenal, which have earned them a debate as one of the best centre-back pairings in the world.
