DESPITE the addition of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, Chelsea have highlighted Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen as top priority when the summer transfer window opens.
The Blues, who have struggled to convert most of their chances in front of goal this season, are hoping that the addition of Napoli’s lethal man, Victor Osimhen would drastically reduce it ahead of next season.
Victor Osimhen is yet to commit to a new deal at Napoli with a departure from the club next summer, which is now likely as the Nigerian will have a year left on his contract by then.
Chelsea, who have a good rapport with Napoli, having acquired Italian midfielder, Jorginho and Senegalese defender, Kalidou Koulibaly from them, would be hoping to use this advantage to bring the 24 years old to the English Premier League next season.
However, Chelsea won’t have it easy as they are not the only ones aware of the player situation at Naples as Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-German are among the teams planning to swoop in on the highly rated striker.
The Blues are also considering Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Santiago Gimenez, who play in the Dutch League for Feyenoord as alternatives.
