LEGENDARY Italian shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon believes that Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. deserves to have won five Ballon d'Or awards.
Neymar was no doubt one of the best Brazilian players in the world having played for the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint German in his career, winning multiple trophies with both clubs.
Buffon, who won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, noted how good Neymar is while speaking about the best opponents he faced during his career as a professional footballer.
“It’s hard to pick. I played against three generations: Zidane, Ronaldo, Messi, Cristiano, Iniesta… Choose one? Neymar.
“For the player he is and the person he is, he should have won five Ballon d’Ors,” he said.
Neymar, during his time at Barcelona, combined with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi to form the dangerous attacking line known as MSN.
Unfortunately, the player who currently plays for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Arabia League has not been able to replicate the performance he had at Barcelona and Paris Saint-German due to a series of injuries.
