FORMER Chelsea and Napoli star, Jorginho has revealed how he discovered the perfect penalty technique that he has often used to find the back of the net when called upon.
The midfielder, who made a switch to Arsenal in January, has a unique way of taking the penalty kick that involves him scampering forward a few steps, then hopping to the right and then kicking the ball with his eyes fixed on the goalkeeper in front of him.
He said this technique, which has earned him many goals from the penalty spot in his career for club and country, came from a joke during training.
“It started from a joke in training, years ago when I was playing in Naples. I used to stay after training, just messing about with my teammates, I just did it as a joke and it worked on him,” Jorginho told ‘Uncut’ a Premier League’s official YouTube channel.
“He told me to try it with the goalkeeper and then I tried it with the goalkeeper, and they went mad," Jorginho added.
The Italian man has scored 41 penalties in his career and has missed only seven.
