ARSENAL Manager, Mikel Arteta has refused to give up the English Premier League trophy to Liverpool as he believes the team can still win it.
The team had a a chance to close the gap between them and Liverpool after the Reds took a 2-2 draw against Liverpool but unfortunately, the Gunners fell short and lost to West Ham United.
Liverpool, in response, took advantage of the loss and took out Manchester City in a 2-0 win at the Etihad and are now 11 points above the Gunners.
During his press conference on Tuesday, Arteta was asked if the title race was over.
He replied: “Over my dead body. If I stop believing, I will go home. Mathematically, it is possible.
“If you want to win the Premier League, then you’ll have to do something special.
“If you want to win the Premier League with the circumstances we have, you probably have to do something nobody has done in the history of the Premier League.”
Arsenal's next game is against Nottingham Forest, who are six points behind the title chasers. Forest will be looking to close the gap and if possible, take over Arsenal in the Premier League.
