Shobowale greets Ayobo-Ipaja Christian faithful on Ash Wednesday

THE Executive Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Chief Mrs Bola Shobowale has wished the Christian faithful in the LCDA a happy Ash Wednesday, which signifies the start of the Lent period.

Her goodwill message read: “Dear residents of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), as we begin this sacred Lenten season with Ash Wednesday, let us embrace it as a time of deep reflection, repentance, and renewal. The ashes remind us of our humility before God and the need for sincere transformation in our hearts and actions.

“Let us use this season to seek God’s mercy, forgive one another, and strive for righteousness. May our prayers, fasting, and sacrifices bring us closer to His divine love and strengthen our faith.

“We also pray for our community’s progress, unity, and prosperity. May God bless us with wisdom, guide our leaders with justice, and grant us peace in Ayobo-Ipaja and its environs.

“Wishing you a blessed Ash Wednesday and a meaningful Lenten journey.”
