THE Executive Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Bola Shobowale has celebrated the Christian faithful in the LCDA as they celebrate the Year 2024 Christmas celebration.
Her Christmas message to the constituents on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, read: "I extend cheerful greetings to our Christian community in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA on this auspicious occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ.
"Christmas is a celebration of spiritual renewal and purification of man from pervasive ills and iniquities as embodied in the immaculate conception and birth of Jesus.
"It is worthy of note that Jesus Christ led a life of knowledge and light, which displaced darkness from all corners of the world and steered man to the path of purity, devotion and spirituality.
"As we celebrate, I urge us to let the attributes of love, tolerance, truth, justice, and compassion, which characterised the earthly life of Jesus Christ moderate our lifestyles and everyday dealings.
"Let the spirit of love, sacrifice and munificence to the needy and less privileged, which are the hallmarks of Christmas mark our festivities.
"I wish you all a merry Christmas and pray that the joy of the season abide with us into the the new year and beyond. Amen."
