THE Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Monday, February 17, 2025, welcomed the Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile, and her delegation on a courtesy visit to discuss preparations for the Forthcoming Local Government elections.
The LASIEC team was formally received by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Oluwaloni, who represented the Executive Chairman, alongside key council officials, including the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Danmola Monsuru; Council Manager, Mr Babatunde Saheed; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Prince Rotimi Akinniyi; and Supervisors and other members of the council’s management team.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chairman reaffirmed the council’s unwavering commitment to a transparent, free, and fair electoral process, stressing the importance of maintaining a peaceful and conducive environment for all stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu emphasised LASIEC’s dedication to ensuring credible elections, assuring that the Commission will duly communicate the election schedule and necessary procedures in due course. She further urged all stakeholders to uphold peace, decorum, and electoral integrity throughout the process.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Danmola Monsuru, followed by a formal group photograph session with the LASIEC delegation and Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA officials.
