IN a remarkable display of excellence and dedication, Progress Estate Community Development Association (CDA) in Baruwa, Ipaja has distinguished itself by emerging as the Best CDA in Lagos State during the 2024 Community Day celebrations.
This outstanding achievement highlights the exceptional commitment and collaborative efforts of the community under the leadership and support of Hon. Chief (Mrs) Bola Shobowale, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Competing among 57 Community Development Committees (CDCs) representing 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), Progress Estate CDA secured this prestigious honour for the second time, having previously won in 2021. This victory sets the Baruwa-Ipaja community apart from over 5,000 CDAs across Lagos State, underscoring its consistent excellence in community development and engagement.
Hon. Chief (Mrs) Bola Shobowale attributed this achievement to the unity and dedication of all stakeholders involved. “This remarkable feat is the result of the collective efforts and teamwork demonstrated by the members of the CDA, the CDC, and the support from this administration. Our open-door policy and commitment to community development have been instrumental in creating an enabling environment for such success,” she said.
The Chairman extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Progress Estate CDA, urging them to continue their exemplary work in community development. “Your commitment and hard work have not gone unnoticed.
