THE Executive Vice-Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni, last Thursday, hosted the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Inspection and Assessment Committee as part of their working tour. The visit highlighted the Lagos State Government's commitment to grassroots development and community engagement.
The first business of the day was at Pharez event hall, where Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni, representing the Chairman, Hon. Bola Shobowale, apologised to the visiting team headed by a former Deputy Governor of the State, His Excellency Otunba Femi Pedro, on behalf of the council Boss on the ugly incident on their last visit, after which the interactive session with major stakeholders, to assess the state of affairs and to gather feedback from communities began.
After the interactive session, the team had a brief closed session meeting with the Party Leaders, LGA officials, Ward Executives and all party faithful, as Otunba Femi Pedro stressed the need for Alimosho Party Leaders to come together as one family, to reclaim back its old glory.
Thereafter, Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni led the GAC delegation on a tour of Hon. Chief (Mrs) Bola Shobowale's achievements since assuming office; after which the leaders commended her performance and encouraged the Chairman and her team to keep up the good work, noting that the Chairman's initiatives align with the community’s needs.
The visit added more credibility to the achievements of the Shobowale administration, and the feedback received from the engagement with the stakeholders will inspire the Chairman and her team to do more.
In Attendance were the Vice-Chairman, Otunba Ladi Oluwaloni, Council Manager, Mr Saheed Babatunde, SLG, Ayobo-Ipaja, APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Wole Aina, all Councillors, all Executive Members, former Chairman Hon. Sakiru Yusuf, former Assembly Member, Hon. Bisi Yusuf, representatives of Obas, Baales, CDC, Arewa Community, South-South Community, former Sole Administrator, Abiodun Agbaje, Iyalojas, artisans, and all former Government Officials.
