LASG assures Lagos Homs housing scheme in Egan will soon be released to future owners

The State Government had in October 2022 assured that the Egan-Igando Housing Scheme which had dragged on over 22 years would be completed and ready for habitation.

LAGOS State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai and the Permanent Secretary, Mr Kamar Owodiran Olowoshago, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, paid a working visit to Lagos Homs housing scheme, Egan in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA to assess its readiness for use by allottees.

During the visit, Akinderu- Fatai expressed the State Government's commitment to releasing the homes  to the future owners soon.

Recall that the State Government had in October 2022 declared that the Egan-Igando Housing Scheme, in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of the Alimosho Local Government Area of the state, which had dragged over 22 years, has reached 90 per cent completion and would be ready for habitation soon.

The estate, located at Agric road in Egan-Igando has been abandoned for the past 22 years and was consequently turned into a hideout for criminals.

The project, under the Lagos Homs initiative, is located on an extensive land spanning over 100 hectares which hosts completed and uncompleted buildings and plots of land.
