THE leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Lagos West Senatorial District, led by the immediate past Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, conducted an inspection tour of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), providing an opportunity for the council stakeholders to evaluate the council's performance under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, on Monday, October 21, 2024.
During the visit, Ikuforiji encouraged attendees, including community leaders, religious leaders and executive council members, to share their perspectives on the Executive Chairman's achievements in the last three and a half years in office.
In response, stakeholders voiced their appreciation for Akinsanya's leadership, commending him for significant progress in various initiatives. Participants highlighted key accomplishments, including improvements in infrastructural development, enhanced community services, and effective governance practices.
"Under Chairman Akinsanya's leadership, we have witnessed tangible developments that have positively impacted our community," remarked the APC Women leader, Mrs Awa Akintola.
The tour included visits to several project sites, where stakeholders observed firsthand improvements in infrastructure and community services. Projects highlighted during the inspection included new roads and upgraded healthcare facilities.
Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji expressed satisfaction with the feedback, emphasising the importance of community engagement in governance. "It is essential that we listen to the voices of the people. The successes of Igando-Ikotun LCDA reflect a commitment to serving the community effectively," he stated.
The inspection tour aimed not only to assess ongoing projects but also to foster collaboration between the Local Government and community stakeholders. As the tour concluded, there was a shared commitment among participants to continue supporting Akinsanya and promoting growth and development within the LCDA.
