THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, has welcomed the residents of the council area into the Year 2025 and prayed that it would be a wonderful one.
His goodwill message to the constituents today Wednesday, January 1, 2025, read: “From the ashes of 2024, I see hope for Igando-Ikotun in the New Year 2025. Allah promises us hope in times of despair, strength in times of weakness, and recovery after tragedies. Our Maker also promised that He will never forsake us in times of trouble.
“2024 was challenging, but with your patience, support and positive criticism, we have begun to display a positive outlook on innovation and inclusion we promised during our campaign.
“I have been lifted by the support and love shown to me and my administration by well-meaning people and I am encouraged to redouble efforts to deliver the Igando-Ikotun of our dreams.
“We, however, need the continued support of our people through regular payment of their levies, revenue, and strict adherence to their civic responsibilities.
“I felicitate with my good people of Igando-Ikotun for making it to 2025. Let us give Almighty Allah all the glory for His mercies and loving-kindness. We must dedicate ourselves to building a more peaceful and cohesive society with justice and equity for all our people and neighbours.
“I wish you a happier, safer, more peaceful and prosperous 2025. Thank you for supporting our administration.”
