THE National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Igando-Ikotun Local Branch, is set to hold its 2025 Management Meeting on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Igando-Ikotun Secretariat Hall, near Ikotun Bus Stop.
The meeting will commence promptly at 3:00 pm and is expected to bring together key stakeholders, community leaders, and youth representatives from various organizations within the region.
The event will be hosted by COMR. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, the Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, who will serve as the Chief Host. The session will also feature prominent figures such as COMR. Muhammad Adesunkanmi, the NYCN Coordinator for Igando-Ikotun LCDA, and Hon. Mojisola Ayinke Badmus, the Executive Vice-Chairman.
Other notable attendees include Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan, Chairman of NYCN, and distinguished special guests like COMR. David Sunday Aladeotan, AMB. COMR. Tijani Saheed Oluwadare, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Lagos State Governor, and COMR. Jamiu Ademosu, Director of NYCN/LYDI and Vice-Chairman of NYON.
The management meeting will focus on strategies to strengthen youth involvement in community development and enhance partnerships with voluntary organisations, religious youth bodies, and Community-Based Organisations (CBOs).
In an official memo issued by COMR. Amuwa Sunday, Secretary of the NYCN Igando-Ikotun Local Branch, all stakeholders are encouraged to participate fully, with each organisation permitted to send up to three representatives. The meeting promises to be a pivotal platform for discussing youth empowerment initiatives and fostering collaborations that will contribute to the growth and development of the local community.
