THE Igando-Ikotun Council Boss, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde akinsanya, has wished the residents of the council area a happy new year filled with a new hope, and glad tidings.
The Chairman made this charge today, Saturday, January 1, 2021, in an online post where he wrote; “From the ashes of 2021, I see hope for Igando -Ikotun in the new Year 2022. Allah promises us hope in times of despair, strength in times of weakness, and recovery after tragedies. Our Maker has also promised that He will never forsake us in times of trouble.
"The last four months have been challenging, but with your patience, support and positive criticism, we have began to display a positive outlook on the innovation and inclusion we promised during our campaign."
He also used the opportunity to appreciate the support shown by the residents to his administration.
"I have been lifted by the support and love shown to me and my administration by well-meaning people and I am encouraged to redouble efforts to deliver the Igando-Ikotun of our dreams.
We, however, need the continue support of our people through regular payment of their levies and revenue, and strict adherence to their civic responsibilities," he reiterated.
He went on to say; “I felicitate with my good people of Igando- Ikotun for making it to 2022. Let us give Almighty Allah all the glory for His mercies and loving kindness.
“I wish you a happier, safer, more peaceful, and prosperous 2022.”
The mayor has also pledged to work towards achieving all the promises made during the election period in the new year.
