Igando-Ikotun LCDA partners Speed-Up Lagos to empower LCDA youths

IN a bid to reduce unemployment and engage the youths and other citizens in productive ventures, the Lagos State Government under its Women Empowerment & Capacity Networking, WECAN, Speed-Up Lagos programme has extended its empowerment scheme to the Igando-Ikotun LCDA with a two-week entrepreneurial training. 

Information reaching AlimoshoToday states that the two-week training, which will take place between August 26 and September 6, 2024, will feature the production of home essentials items, baking catering and drinks, make-up & gele styling, fashion design & leatherworks, smartphone digital technology, production of ladies wigs, event decorations and luxury paper bags, hampers, and basket weaving.220b

While speaking during the start of the training, the Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, stated: “By next month of September, Igando-Ikotun will successfully have empowered about 500 youths with digital skills in conjunction with Speed-Up Lagos.”

Other training classes include graphic design, social media ads, animation, picture editing, coding, tailoring, catering, and so on.220c
