ONE of the major challenges facing the residents of Igando-Ikotun LCDA is the poor condition of the roads and drainage systems. The roads are often flooded, potholed and congested, making it difficult for commuters, pedestrians and businesses to operate smoothly. The drainage systems are also clogged, dirty and inadequate, posing health and environmental risks to the people.
To address these problems, the administration of Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, has embarked on a rehabilitation project on Abuba Anthony Street. The project aims to improve the quality of life and economic activities in the area by providing a durable, functional and aesthetically pleasing road network and reducing traffic gridlock at ijegun last bus stop.
The project will be completed shortly and will benefit thousands of residents, traders, visitors and motorists who use the roads daily. The project will also enhance the security, sanitation and beauty of the area, as well as boost the revenue generation of the local government.
Comrade Akinsanya is committed to fulfilling his campaign promises and delivering dividends of democracy to his constituents. He is also grateful for the support and cooperation of the State Government, traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders and citizens in achieving his vision for Igando-Ikotun.
