THE Federal Government of Nigeria is set to launch an additional Passport Front Office in the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, LCDA, as part of its effort towards effective service delivery to Nigerians.

While hosting the Deputy Controller of Immigration, DCI (Mrs) Oluwakemi Adigun, who came on official office inspection, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, affirmed that the Front Office is to provide the passport for anyone desirous of it within a reasonable time, at an affordable price, and without any stress in the community. 328c

According to Akinsanya, the Passport Front Desk Office is significant as the Nigerian Passport remains proof of existence, especially for those outside the country, stressing that the inability to produce it on demand might bring untoward consequences.

He, however, said that the Federal Government intentionally opened more front desk offices to increase the number of registration centres and reduce the waiting period before biometric data capture.
