Akinsanya harps on educational pursuits, gives out 100 free GCE forms

IN a remarkable demonstration of commitment to education and youth empowerment, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde,  the Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, has distributed 100 free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to indigent students.

Akinsanya highlighted that this initiative underscores the administration’s dedication to providing the best opportunities for the academic growth of pupils and students in the council area.

The beneficiaries cut across communities in the Local Council Development Area.

Speaking passionately about the importance of education, Akinsanya affirmed that this educational support programme aligns perfectly with the State Government’s THEMES+ agenda. This initiative aims to provide youth educational opportunities, regardless of socioeconomic status or political affiliation.

Education, he asserted, is a vital measure of success, and it is the responsibility of those in public office to provide opportunities for talented youths, particularly those in need of support.

Akinsanya’s administration has made a significant impact in the education sector, including distributing GCE e-pins and completing registrations in 2021, 2022 and 2023, provision of solar water in Ijegun primary school, modern toilets for both males and females, construction of Ategbo primary school, borehole in Ategbo primary school, inter-house sports, free school bags across all primary schools, and so on.

“I believe that it is through education and knowledge, that youths can help grow and develop our society while also proffering innovative ideas to solve societal problems,” he added.

Akinsanya urged the beneficiaries to study hard and not get distracted but to work towards academic excellence to encourage and motivate his administration to do more.
