NAPOLI'S Manager, Rudi Garcia, has explained to the press and fans what occurred between him and star forward, Victor Osimhen, during yesterday's match against Bologna.
The Nigeria international was substituted off the match during the 0-0 draw against Bologna. Osimhen was furious at the Manager's decision to bring him out of the match, as he was seen shouting at his Manager.
This led many to question the Manager's decision on why he took out the forward despite Napoli needing a goal, as a similar incident already occurred with another Napoli star, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, last week.
Responding to the question, the Manager said: “Even the greatest players in the history of football miss penalties. As for when he went off, we talked about that; what I say to my players remains in the locker room.
“We have a lot of quality in the squad and on the bench, so Simeone, Politano, and Elmas came on; I still have Jesper available too. When we have this much quality, we can’t always have 90 minutes with the same men, especially as we have four games in nine days.”
The reigning champions sit seventh in the league with eight points in five games, winning two games, two draws, and a loss, which came against Lazio earlier this month.
