THE absence of Barcelona's talented winger, Lamine Yamal saw the club suffer a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad in a La Liga clash yesterday.
Lamine Yamal was unavailable to help Barca as he was out injured. The Golden Boy winner has a grade one high right ankle sprain and he is expected to be out for two to three weeks.
Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick watched as Sheraldo Becker’s first-half goal gave Real Sociedad the victory and recorded Barca's second defeat in the league.
“In the first half, we suffered, the second half was better, but at the end, we made the wrong decisions in the final third. We didn’t have the strength to score goals today,” Flick said in his post-match interview.
“I said to the team we have to accept it, absolutely clear, but at the end, we’ll come back stronger,” he added.
Despite the loss, the Catalans are still on top of the league table with 33 points in 13 games, 6 points above second-place Real Madrid who have a game in hand.
