Ex-Super Eagles call out current team for lack of commitment

FORMER Nigerian defender, Bright Omokaro has criticised the current Super Eagles squad for lacking seriousness and commitment.

Omokaro, who was a member of the 1988 AFCON silver-winning team noted that the current Eagles squad doesn’t show the same commitment the past Super Eagles players did.

Speaking to Brilla FM, the retired defender said: “There was a very big cooperation and cohesion in past Super Eagles teams.”

"When you are invited, you must show that you can do it. We always had time to train together before the match proper; there was commitment back then," he added, per Complete Sports.

This is not the first time the current Super Eagles or a member of the current Super Eagles have been called out for something similar this year.

Recall that Sunday Oliseh had recently called out the team for lack of respect to ex-players following Victor Osimhen’s outburst towards Finidi George.
