BARCELONA teenage star, Lamine Yamal found the back of the net twice as Barcelona secured a 4-1 victory over Girona in matchday 5 of the La Liga.
The Blue and Red team came intending to have their revenge after last season's humiliation in which the Catalans fell to Girona both home and away as they lost 4-2 in both legs.
Revenge was well earned as they played 4-1 against Girona with Lamine Yamal scoring two goals while new signing, Olmo and 2021 Golden Boy winner, Pedri scored a goal each.
“I think you can see the confidence we have, and when we have the ball, we have the quality to play and to create chances,” Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick told reporters after the game.
“I think today we had a lot of chances to score one or two goals more, but in the end, I’m very happy with the performance of the team,” he added.
Barcelona have now secured five wins in five games this season as they sit comfortably on top of the league table. They begin their Champions League campaign against Monaco on Thursday.
