2baba pens tribute to late Sound Sultan

TWO years after the death of Nigerian artist Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, Nigerian artist, Tuface Idibia (2baba) has penned a tribute to the late songwriter.

2baba, who was a close friend of Sound Sultan before his death, took to Instagram to pen a tribute to the singer, noting how things have changed in the industry and his life.

The renowned singer informed the late Sound Sultan that although their hope and desire for African and Nigerian music had come true, he was now an up-and-coming artist.

Sound Sultan. who was nominated for The Headies Award for Album of the Year in 2012, passed away on July 11, 2021, after battling ‘Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma,’ also known as Cancer of the throat.
