The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos Chapter, Alhaji Musiliyu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, on Thursday visited two Secretariats in Alimosho Local Government.
The two Secretariats visited were that of Egbe-Idimu and Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
Comrade Eniola Badmos Oseni, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Egbe-Idimu Council, made this known in a statement.
According to Oseni, the visit was meant to enhance the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Council and to sustain the relationship between the Council and the transporters within the two LCDAs.
Recall that in order to boost the community's IGR, the Executive Chairman of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Honourable Kunle Sanyaoolu Olowoopejo, last Saturday officially opened a new water production company in Egbe at a ceremony.
In his speech, the First Transporter in the state eulogised the council bosses for the support the union has been getting from the government, down to all the LGAs and LCDAs.
He also appealed for the maintenance of the status quo.
The Council bosses, Adeshina Williams of Igando-Ikotun and Sanyaoolu of Egbe-Idimu appreciated the timely visit of Oluomo and his team, while also soliciting their continuous support and urging them not to relent in developing the council.
