Efonalaye road construction progresses as pavements get painted

Efonalaye Road Construction has progressed to the next stage. The painting of the pavements have commenced and this is the last stage of the road works.

The road connects Orisunbare Road in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area on the left and Shasha Oguntade on the right.

The chairman of the Residents Association had confirmed the construction of the road to AlimoshoToday some weeks ago.

The road construction has now progressed with the painting of the pavements in black and white for beautification from the beginning to the end.

The Chairman of the Efonalaye Landlords Association, Mr Ayanbisi Gabriel, expressed delight with the ongoing work, pointing out that the community is being constrained to be more patient as the #EndSARS protests had put the work on hold for at least three weeks.

Mr Ayanbisi said: "The work has been moving. As you can see, this other side had already been painted as we expected. If not for the #EndSARS struggles, this side too would have been done.

"We expect the workers to resume as soon as possible to complete the painting and eventually open the road so that it can be conveniently used by residents. We really thank the government for the work done so far," he added.
