1.  FG TO BEGIN IDDO BRIDGE REPAIRS ON FEBRUARY 2


The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that it will impose vehicular restrictions on the Iddo Bridge in Lagos State, from February 2, 2025, to facilitate essential repairs. According to media reports the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, made the disclosure at a press briefing on Wednesday in Lagos. She said that the restrictions were necessary to ensure public safety while the Government addressed the bridge’s structural integrity issues.

2.  LAGOS EXAM BOARD KICK-STARTS E-REGISTRATION, PAYMENT FOR Y2025 BECE


The Lagos State Government, through its Examinations Board, has kick-started the e-registration and payment for the Year 2025 Basic Education and Certificate Examination (BECE), on Monday, January 27 and scheduled to end on Friday, April 26, 2025. The e-registration and payment are in line with the Lagos State Government policy to ensure a seamless and hitch-free registration process.

3.   KAOKAB PRESENTS 2ND BATCH OF FREE JAMB FORMS TO ALIMOSHO CONSTITUENCY 02 STUDENTS


In a bid to support education and empower students in the Alimosho Constituency 02, an All Progressives Congress, APC, party member in the Constituency, Hon. Kaokab Ibraheem Aroworatira has provided the second batch of the free JAMB forms initiative to deserving students. This initiative aims to promote education and create opportunities for students in the Constituency.

4. LASG SHUTS OSHODI PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER SAFETY CONCERNS


The Lagos State Government has ordered the immediate shutdown of the pedestrian bridge connecting Oshodi Bus Terminals 2 and 3, citing safety concerns. Pedestrians are advised to use an alternative bridge located 30 metres away while the assessment is conducted.
