THE Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa, has reiterated the need for the public and private sector to partner in bringing succour to the masses, during the public presentation of appreciation letters to those who heeded the call of the LCDA during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hon. Yusuf thanked the donors for their financial support, noting that it was extremely important that the LCDA should account for the funds received.
According to the Chairman five orthopaedic beds were bought for the use of the people with the donated funds.
He thanked the donors on behalf of the State Government and Ayob- Ipaja LCDA, promising that the beds would be put to good use.
Responding on behalf of the donors, Dr Shuaib Akanbi commended the LCDA Chairman for finding it appropriate to invite them over and also for the letter of appreciation.
He said he initially had doubts on the usage of the funds, but that has been assured with what he saw today, adding that henceforth, he would continue to partner with the LCDA.
Earlier, the LCDA had sent out letters for support during the pandemic. Agape Hospital, owned by Dr Ayo Oni; Akanbi Hospital, owned by Dr Shuaib Akanbi; Alhaji Fatai Ahmed, MD Fasco Press and Chief Joseph Akpan Adia - Nmuwa responded and donated towards the cause.
