SUPER Eagles of Nigeria winger, Moses Simon has noted how important they need to win against Benin Republic in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The Nigeria senior men's team will host their neighbours, Benin Republic in a matchday one encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.
Simon, who is among the players invited to represent Nigeria in the qualifying campaign, said that it is important for the Super Eagles to take down the Benin Republic.
"Of course, all Nigerians are expecting a win, so we will just go there, do our best,” the Nantes winger was quoted by SCORENigeria.
“The best Nigeria needs is to find a win, this is the most important thing,” he added.
The last time the two teams met was in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match in June in which Gernot Rohr’s side defeated the Super Eagles 2-1.
