DUE to a heavy price tag on Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, Napoli is considering the option of loaning him out for a season to Premier League club, Chelsea.
The Italian club were hoping to sell the lethal striker this season and slammed a €100M price on the player. It appears interested parties such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are not willing to pay that amount.
To move ahead, Napoli have offered Chelsea a loan deal for Osimhen while hoping that the London club would be willing to sell Romelu Lukaku to them as a replacement.
This means that Romelu Lukaku could reunite with Antonio Conte at Napoli while Victor Osimhen plays for Chelsea on a season-long loan and could eventually become a permanent deal.
Lukaku, 31, spent last season on loan at Roma, scoring 21 goals in 47 appearances. However, his most prolific period came under Conte's guidance at Inter, where he netted 34 and 30 goals in consecutive seasons.
For Osimhen, he scored 15 goals last season, but his impact was more significant the previous year, contributing 26 goals as Napoli won their first Scudetto since 1990.
