FORMER Barcelona and PSG star, Neymar Jnr has revealed how Kylian Mbappe felt when Lionel Messi left Barcelona to play for PSG.
The 8-time Ballon d'Or winner joined PSG in August 2021 on a free transfer from Barcelona as he linked up with star players, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jnr.
Neymar, in a recent interview, revealed that Mbappe was jealous when Messi joined the team, which led to some fights and a change in behaviour.
“No, he is not. I have my issues with him, we had a little fight, but he was fundamental for us when he arrived. I used to call him ‘Golden Boy,'” Neymar said in a podcast hosted by his compatriot Romário.
“I always played with him, said he was going to be one of the best. I always helped him, talked to him, he came to my place, and we had dinner together.
“We had some good years of partnership, but after Messi came, he was a little jealous. He didn’t want to share me with anyone. And then there were some fights and a change in behaviour,” he added.
All three players eventually left PSG; Lionel Messi joined MLS club Inter Miami in the USA, Neymar switched to the Saudi Arabia League while Mbappe followed in his idol's footsteps and joined Real Madrid.
