SUPER Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface came off the bench to find the back of the net as Bayer Leverkusen secured all three points against Wolfsburg.
The game was heading to a stalemate at 3-3 but the introduction of Victor Boniface did the trick as Victor Boniface scored the winning goal in injury time to end the match 4-3.
The Nigeria international admitted that Wolfsburg made things difficult for his team but he is very happy they were able to turn things around.
“We knew how Wolfsburg would perform and what to expect,” Boniface was quoted by the club’s official website.
” At half-time, we agreed again because we really wanted to turn the game around for our fans. We did that. Of course, we are very happy now,” he added.
The reigning Bundesliga champions have won three out of the four league games played this season with nine points to their name, three points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
