ARSENAL manager, Mikel Arteta has commended newly appointed Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim for his influence since taking charge of the club.
The former Sporting Lisbon boss replaced Ten Hag at United and as seen then won two and drew one of his first three matches as he prepares for a tough encounter against Arsenal yesterday.
Arteta, speaking in a pre-match conference ahead of the clash against the two big giants, praised Amorim for the influence he has had since taking charge of the club.
“You can see his fingerprints in what he wants to do straight away,” he said.
“I think he’s been very clear; he’s been very successful with Sporting.
“He brings energy to a new club and to the players new ideas and that’s always something positive but we have to focus on what we have to do,” he added.
Arsenal have a good recent home record against United and would want to keep it that way. They have also been drawn against holders United in the third round of the FA Cup, which takes place early next month.
